They don't...
I'm totally racing my carbon wheels though; they will slice right through the snow and track admirably!
Ummmm... 18 months down here and all I can say is the weather is a bastard, more so than in Denver. Utterly no warning. I talked to the race director yesterday and he was freaking the F out. So maybe the very fact that the race is preparing for snow and ice means the weather will be balmy and perfect. But... ski if snow.
